Yakima River Trip Is On
Jarrod Ball, who knows the Yakima very well, is leading the trip. Dates are Oct. 13 to Oct. 16. Travel on Sunday; fish Monday and Tuesday (maybe part of Wednesday); travel home on Wednesday. Jarrod recommends the Big Pine Campground. This is a nice BLM campground but is dry camping and first come-first serve. This time of year availability should be no problem. There is also a KOA if you want full hookups.
Jarrod (who is fishing the Yakima as I write) says the river is low which makes it good for wading and smaller rafts or pontoon boats, so a drift boat is nice but not essential for this trip.
If you are planning to come let me know so we will have a rough head count for planning purposes.
