Smith River 2026 Lottery

After seening Bruce Freet's presentation on Thursday I'm thinking about applying for the lottery for a Smith River trip for next year. Would anyone be interested in also applying/putting together a trip?

I'm still working but can be pretty flexible on dates I think.

Feel free to contact me directly if you are interested applying for the lottery.

Sorry Tim for not responding sooner.

Absolutely! I know there are a group of us who have put in the lottery for several years and maybe our luck is ready to change.

Skagit River Pinks

Going fly fishing at skagit river at riverbend sandbar Thursday. Concrete river guage at 14.64 at 945 pm Wednesday.

This is excellent for fly fishing, caught 2 between 430 and 5pm. Fish started rolling at 4pm. Will be even better Thursday with falling levels. Mid 14's allow wading out further and increase ability to reach proper seams.

drive north past Walmart, then turn left driving past Wells Nursery and Ettera/Smith Nursery and take turn on Riverbend road north to dike. Park below levee gate, hike about 120 yards west on levee.. Walk down to level before willows. Look for Swihart gray and white shack on north siide of river. Take a steep path thru willows that I have tied a white rope with three loops on to sand bar. Fish here.

St. Joe Heat Advisory

For those of you going to the St. Joe next week, please check the weather forecast as daytime high temperatures in the mid to upper 90's are currently forecasted. Plan on bringing extra beer and other alcoholic beverages, plus ice.
