Minnie Lake, BC Report
This is what two full days of fishing on Minnie Lake, BC will do to your flies. I had the best day fishing(and probably the second best day) last week on Minnie. I had a hard time keeping track, but those were 20+ and 40+ days. If the indicator did not go down within a few minutes, something was wrong. Naked fishing and trolling wooly buggers was very productive as well.
The fish were incredibly active. 6' jumps were common. The typical fish was 16"-18", with a few in the 18"-19" range. My largest was 20", but others in the group caught fish as large as 23".
I only had an hour to fish on Friday, so I set a goal: 1 hour or 10 fish, whichever comes first. I had my 10 fish in the boat at 55 minutes on the clock. I probably had as many misses, and a pesky loon kept chasing fish away.
