Methow River
The Ad Hoc trip was very successful. Bill Phil and I fished two days and Bill and I the last. First day we saw 20 plus fish caught but will not say who did best but the sun was out and the water perfect. Second day was slower but everyone caught a fish or three. Poor Phil had to leave and missed the best day. With a tip from a friend/guide we floated the lower river and to say all hell broke loose is putting it mild. There was some big chutes and standing waves in this section so it was not for the faint of heart. But we were reworded with lots of fish. Two holes produced over 20 fish each. In the last deep hole all the fish were 15-18 inches and were slurping the flies off the surface. We spent an hour there. I'm ready to go back. Any takers?
