Big Twin May 15,16,17, 2020
I fished a total of 20 hours using rabbit hair leeches. Black, red, raspberry, wine, and burgundy. Also used a rabbit dragonfly leech. Caught or release or lost 59 fish. The majority were 18 or 19 inches with a few 16" and two 10". Beautiful strong fish. My fishing buddies John Clark fished leeches, his son Graham a guide in the Methow area fished the hump with chironomids and egg sucking leeches with excellent results.
I observed a local who had fished every day from Tues the 12th using dragonfly nymphs on a clear intermediate line was EXTREMELY successful. Most anglers using midge/bobbers.
A fellow local (Skagit) Ed Lynch was just completing his fishing at 3pm Friday and he had very good success with #14 black and red chironomids in the north bays.
