Census warm up . .
Hit up Pass lake tonight after work. A little windy but manageable in a float tube fishing leeward. Fished a Crystal Bristol Viva on a sinking tip in outer shoreline at dusk/dark with a slower retrieve. Got into a beautiful 19 inch Rainbow 🌈and then hooked into a feisty 20" Brown!!
Wishing everyone a successful census! Would love to see others fish photos/reports. After catching that beautiful brown and not getting a nice photo of it, I realized it would be beneficial to learn more about fish photography. If anyone has any advice or recommended resources on fish photography please let me know. Perhaps a future speaker topic?
Ordered a fish scale that weights in oz and will be here on Monday. Stripping basket of float tube/pontoon have a nice ruler. Big thanks to the chironomid fisherman who shared some great tips last night! Are there any chironomids that hatch in evening/dark regionally??
Hope to see everyone out at Pass soon. Grateful to be part of the club!
Tight lines,
JS

Great report Joe. It's a good thing you got out Friday night because the lake was crowded on Saturday morning - not really! Only one mullet of the water. Steven was the lone brave soul for the early morning fish census.
